BLOOD CONSERVATION

We respect those whose religious beliefs prohibit the use of blood transfusions, and will work with surgical teams committed to the principle of blood conservation and the avoidance of transfusion. With recognized benefits to avoid infection and lessen the risk of cancer recurrence, transfusions are used only when absolutely necessary. Jehovah’s Witnesses and others who cannot accept transfusion under any circumstance should feel comfortable discussing their beliefs openly with Dr. Jury.
