Pancreatic Cancer research and education is funded in many ways. Before losing her battle with pancreatic cancer, Shirley Mopper, along with her children, established the Coleman and Shirley Mopper Pancreatic Fund at William Beaumont Hospital to support pancreatic cancer initiatives at Beaumont. The Mopper Fund provided the financial support for the November, 2011 CME symposium “Finding Hope: Prevention, Early Detection and Treatment of Pancreatic Cancer”.
